SUDBURY -- Pure Country 91.7 in Sudbury has wrapped up its annual Diaper Drive.

Northway Buslines came through the drive-thru at the New Sudbury Centre with a big delivery of diapers, formula and baby food packs. Many other listeners gave generously, too.

"Doing a drive-by method really, really paid off because it meant people could drop off their diaper donations quick, efficiently and at a safe distance," said Pure Country morning host Josh. "The community totally, totally delivered."

The goal of the campaign was to collect 100 boxes of diapers to help Sudbury's Pregnancy Care Centre and Infant Food Bank. The radio station actually quadrupled that goal, collecting more than 400 boxes of diapers and other goods.

"We knew the community would respond and our listeners would respond well and especially at this time," said Pure Country 91.7 morning host Coop.

"It's been a tough year, but you know what? It's been a tougher year for some other families in town. That is why we are doing this … And we are just absolutely blown away by the generosity. All we can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. It's been unreal."

This is Pure Country 91.7's third annual diaper drive.
