SUDBURY -- Public Health Sudbury and Districts has released a street drug warning.

There are multiple reports of a potent substance circulating in the city, which has led to an increase in suspected opioid overdoses.

Officials say street drugs may be cut or mixed with fentanyl, which can come in a variety of colours and consistency, and even a very small amount can cause an overdose, which can be fatal.

They say multiple doses of naloxone may be needed to reverse an overdose.
