Police say wanted suspect in the Sault caught with $55K in fentanyl

The suspect, who was arrested Dec. 6, also had six grams of cocaine, a scale, drug packing materials and $305 in cash.
He was arrested around 10 p.m. when he was spotted getting out of a vehicle on Wellington Street West.
"The total estimated street value of drugs seized is $55,650," Sault police said in a news release Monday.
Charges include drug trafficking, drug possession and failing to attend court.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
"Every step we take to disrupt the flow of these substances makes our city safer," Sault Police Chief Hugh Stevenson said in the release.
"We are committed to holding individuals accountable for their actions and protecting our residents from the devastating impacts of drug trafficking."
