Ontario Provincial Police say they have recovered rifles stolen from a residence in Marathon earlier this month.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft, including a young offender who is 14.

The thefts occurred sometime on Nov. 16 or Nov. 17 at a residence in the community.

“Through investigation, officers were able to recover the firearms and subsequently arrested three individuals,” the OPP said in a news release Wednesday.

There are three suspects, ages 48, 33 and 14, who have been charged with break-and-enter offences.

The accused are being held in custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Marathon at a later date.
