Police investigating death in Magnetawan, Ont.
The Almaguin Highlands detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a sudden death in Magnetawan.
Police responded Thursday at 9 a.m. to Kirkpatrick's Road and Highway 124, where a person was located deceased.
"Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety," the OPP said in a news release Friday.
"Residents of the area should expect to see an increased police presence. More information will be provided as it becomes available."
The investigation is being led by the Almaguin Highlands OPP crime unit, under the direction of the OPP criminal investigation branch, with the assistance of the OPP forensic identification services and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
