SUDBURY -- In a Sept. 11 news release, Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) said it’s aware of the suspicious incident in Chelmsford where two young children say they were approached by adult while walking on a quad trail.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Sept. 10 between highway 144 and Montee Genereaux.   

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) canvased the area for video and witnesses.

“Detectives spoke further with the children involved, to better understand the circumstances surrounding the alleged interaction,” said GSPS in the release.

Police are urging any potential witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.  They are also asking the adult involved in the incident to contact police. 

The news release makes reference to a neighborhood group on Facebook that has been posting information with regards to the incident.

“As this investigation is on-going and as all the information has not been properly obtained and corroborated we ask that any information be forwarded to the detectives assigned so the information can be properly reviewed and sourced.”
