SUDBURY -- A body found June 4 in Hearst is 18-year-old Alphonso Ferguson, the Ontario Provincial Police in James Bay said Friday.
Ferguson had been missing since May 13, sparking a community-wide search.
On June 4, police received a report of a body found in the Mattawishkwia River near Alary Drive, north of Highway 11 in Hearst.
More than three months later, police confirmed it was Ferguson.
"The OPP would like to thank the community and all involved persons for their efforts during the search and recovery," police said in a news release.
