Plasma donation drive to be held in Sudbury

Share

The Sikh Nation in Sudbury is asking people to take part in its plasma donation drive this Saturday.

It’s a national group that has partnered with Canadian Blood Services to encourage people to give for the first time or encourage previous donors to return.

This is the Sikh Nation’s 25th annual donation event in many communities across the country.

It’s the third year the drive has been held in Sudbury.

“The count will go towards the millions of donations that have been done over the years,” said Karan Badhesha, the coordinator of Sikh Nation Sudbury.

“And every year we have one number and so far I am really honoured to tell you that Sikh Nation Canada is the biggest group registered with the Canadian Blood Services. So your donation will be counted towards their numbers. That will make us as one family for one nation one people.”

The drive takes place Nov. 18 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Canadian Blood Services on Lasalle Boulevard.
