SUDBURY -- The Ontario Provincial Police have identified the woman killed in a crash on Highway 69 early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the scene north of Estaire Road shortly after midnight following the collision.

Tammy Ashawasega, 47, from Parry Sound, tragically died after the sports utility vehicle (SUV) she was driving south collided with a northbound commercial motor vehicle (CMV).

The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured in the incident.

Highway 69 was closed for several hours between Highways 17 and 537 after the crash.

Now, OPP is asking the public for help in the ongoing investigation.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.

"If you witnessed this collision or have any information regarding any vehicles in the area at the time of the collision, please immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or your nearest police authority," police said.

Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
