SAULT STE. MARIE -- Sault Ste. Marie is planning to open certain parks to the public on Friday.

Soccer fields and baseball diamonds are opening Friday morning, and the city will be allowing citizens to enjoy tennis courts, pickle ball courts, the disc golf course, the pump track, skateboard track and the off-leash dog park.

City playgrounds and indoor facilities will remain closed.

There are some rules when using the facilities. The city says the fields will be open for causal use only. Only groups of under five people are allowed to use them, so team play is not allowed. Everyone must still practise physical distancing.
