SUDBURY -- An Ontario Provincial Police officer filling his vehicle at a Lively gas station Thursday made an unexpected capture of two Shih Tzus on the lam from a nearby shelter.

The arresting officer snapped a cute photo of the pups in his cruiser after taking them into custody.

"Busted!" tweeted the OPP. "Sudbury OPP K9 handler Const. (Derry) Mihell captured these two Shih Tzus who escaped Pet Save in Lively."

Mihell was refueling at Circle K in Lively and caught "the escapees as employees were in hot pursuit!" the tweet said.

The pups are up for adoption at Pet Save Sudbury by calling 705-692-3319.
