NORTH BAY -- One person faces several charges, including aggravated assault, after police responded to two separate incidents in Temiskaming Shores.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a call shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 involving two separate altercations that took place on Lakeshore Road.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a victim with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and was immediately transported to hospital.
Police also found a second victim who did not sustain any injuries.
As a result, a 36-year-old resident of Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Quebec was arrested and faces several charges, including aggravated assault, uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The OPP will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victims.
