SUDBURY -- Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after two people in their 70s were found dead in their home in Temiskaming Shores.

Officers were asked to check on the well-being of two people, ages 75 and 77, at a home on Sunday at 3:10 p.m., police said in a news release.

Police said there is no threat to public safety.

The crime unit and forensic identification services have been called to help the criminal investigation branch investigate at the scene.

Const. Jennifer Smith told CTV News that autopsies are scheduled to take place in Sudbury on Tuesday.
