OPP investigates fatal ATV crash north of Bruce Mines, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal ATV crash on a rural road north of Bruce Mines. 

Police say Allan Macdonald, 71, of Sault Ste. Marie was travelling northbound on Carpenter Road early Saturday afternoon, when his ATV veered off the roadway before hitting a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Algoma paramedics also attended the scene and responding officers received assistance from the OPP Technical Collison Investigator.

Officials say a post-mortem examination has not been scheduled but is expected to take place in the coming days.
