OPP in Kirkland Lake execute search warrants, lay multiple charges

The North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed two search warrants on Oct. 22 and seized currency, drugs, guns with an estimated street value of S40,000.
Police say they have seized a variety of substances including: Opioids (fentanyl), Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Hydromorphone and Psilocybin (mushrooms).
Police also seized two firearms and over $9,000 in cash.
Two people from Kirkland Lake have been charged with multiple drug-related offences.
A 43-year-old man has been charged with Possession of a Substance I for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of Schedule I Substance – Opioid, Possession of Schedule III Substance, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
A 23-year-old woman has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance(s) – Opioid, Cocaine.
Both were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear on Dec. 3, 2020.
