SUDBURY -- Provincial police are expanding the search for a missing Sudbury woman after her car was found abandoned in a gravel pit on the weekend.

Constance (Connie) Richards, 26, was last seen on the afternoon of Aug. 4 after police received a report of her driving erratically in Levack around the Fox Lake Lodge area.

Her vehicle was found abandoned four days later in a gravel pit off of Fox Lake Road in Ermatinger Township, about 10 km southwest of Cartier.

Police said they are concerned for her well-being and are asking for the public's help to locate her.

She is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 163 cm (5'4") tall and 54.4 kg (120 lbs) with a thin build
  • Long, brown hair and brown eyes
  • Tattoos on both her arms and wrists – KR on right wrist, AR on left wrist, Jupiter on left forearm and Anthony on right arm

The Ontario Provincial Police Emergency Response Team along with members of the Nipissing West detachment, canine unit and helicopters continue the search in the area on Tuesday.
