Provincial police say Highway 11 west of Heart has been shut down Friday.
It will be closed from 11 am to 6 pm while crews remove a trailer containing dangerous goods from a crash site.
They say the closure will affect the road from Highway 631 to the Town of Nipigon, but local traffic will be permitted up to 1.5 kilometres east and west of the crash site.
OPP is reminding travellers to drive carefully and expect delays once the highway has been reopened.
