OPP arrest three from North Bay during high-risk traffic stop
NORTH BAY -- The Ontario Provincial Police have charged three people after receiving a report of an assault with a weapon on Highway 17 in West Nipissing.
On Friday morning, Police were called to the scene, east of Jocko Point Rd, to find the suspects had fled in their vehicle heading westbound on Highway 17.
With assistance from North Bay Police and the Anishinabek Police Service, the vehicle and occupants were located
An investigation later revealed none of the victims were injured.
Officers seized a number of weapons along with break-in tools, at the scene.
Three individuals, a 36-year old woman from North Bay, a 28-year old man and a 37-year old man, both from North Bay, have been charged with multiple assault and weapon-related offences.
All three have been released with scheduled court appearances set for June.
