The Ontario legislature, led by the province's new Premier Doug Ford, resumed today for a rare summer session.

"Can't wait. The rubber’s gonna hit the road for the taxpayers of Ontario." said Ford.

It's the first sitting by the new Ontario Progressive Conservative majority government.

They're looking to scrap cap and trade, repeal the Liberal’s new sex education, end the York University strike, and cancel a controversial wind farm project.

The PC’s say the government must act quickly to address all three of these items ahead of the fall when the house normally returns.
