One sent to hospital in two-vehicle crash on Lasalle extension in Greater Sudbury
Traffic on the Lasalle extension in Sudbury came to a halt Wednesday afternoon after the roof of a silver BMW was sheared off in a crash.
Fire crews and ambulances were spotted at the scene just west of Frood Road shortly before 1:30 p.m. Nov. 6.

"Fire services was called to a high-speed vehicle collision on the Lasalle extension close to Elm Street this afternoon," Greater Sudbury Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell told CTV News Sudbury journalist Alana Everson in an interview at the scene.
"Two vehicles were struck head on and, fortunately, both drivers were only (minorly) injured."
No one required extrication, but one person was taken to hospital.
It appears that the entire roof of the BMW is gone.
A second vehicle, a small commercial vehicle that appears to have a flatbed in the back, was also involved in the crash and was parked amongst the debris on the pavement in the westbound lane.
No word on what caused the car to go off the road, but witnesses said one of the vehicles was seen travelling at a high rate of speed.
Greater Sudbury Police Service is now investigating the incident.

This, just days after a 27-year-old male driver was killed doing donuts in an open field in Chelmsford that also injured his female passenger.
And a 21-year-old Timmins driver was charged with impaired and dangerous driving Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 144.
