One person in custody after Sault police respond to gun call Thursday
One person remains in custody and officials are searching for an aggressive dog that was subdued with a stun gun, Sault police said Thursday evening.
Three people were detained following reports of a firearm on Albert Street West earlier in the afternoon, but police said only one remains in custody.
"When attempting to clear the multi-unit residence, officers had to subdue an aggressive dog with a conducted energy weapon to ensure officer safety," police said.
"The dog ran away from the area. The local humane society was contacted and (is) assisting with attempts to locate the dog."
While still an active investigation, police said the investigation revealed there are no immediate concerns for public safety.
