SAULT STE. MARIE -- CTV News has learned that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, one of the biggest employers in Sault Ste. Marie with 600 employees, is offering buy-out packages to all staff across the province.

OLG says it is part of a cost-saving program and a way to find efficiencies within the company.

Last year, the OLG gave the province $2.47 billion as its share of the company's gaming revenues.

OLG spokesperson, Tony Bitonti, says this is not part of any broader plan to close the office in Sault Ste. Marie.
