SAULT STE. MARIE -- Some of the most notable Saulites are saying thank you to residents of the city for practicing physical distancing.
The city of Sault Ste. Marie asked the likes of Dr. Roberta Bondar, former Governor General David Johnston, Maple Leafs General Manager Kyle Dubas, and Curling Star Brad Jacobs, to record their messages of thanks for residents in the city.
"We are in this together, we will get through this together and the messages from our fellow Saultites are a tremendous demonstration of this spirit," said Mayor Christian Provenzano in a media release. "The community has done a great job to date, but we have to stay committed and continue working together."
Mayor Provenzano adds the city wanted to encourage the community during the pandemic for their work so far.
