The two teenage girls that have been missing since last Thursday, have been found safe.

Ontario Provincial Police are searching for two missing teenagers in the western section of Algonquin Provincial Park.

Sixteen-year-old females Marta Malek and Maya Mirota were reported missing Friday evening at around 10 p.m. The two were last seen on Thursday July 11 on the Western Uplands Train, between Rainbow Lake and Susan Lake.

The missing teens were part of a group camping in Algonquin Park and had equipment, including a tent.

The search began yesterday morning. OPP are assisted in their search effort by a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MNRF) plane and park staff among others.
