Northern Ont. resident celebrates $100K lottery win
Darcy Lesage of Garden River matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the Jan. 31 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000.
"I typically check my tickets when I have a stack to check – but this time I didn't wait," Lesage, 64, said in a news release from the OLG.
"I checked my ticket on the OLG app and heard the winning tune. I wondered if it was real."
He had his wife to take a second look at the app and they were both in shock.
"She was concerned it was a scam (so) we brought it to the store to make sure it was real – even the clerk was excited,” Lesage said.
“My friends and family have been so supportive and celebratory. This is awesome and I feel thankful."
He plans to use his win to pay off this truck and travel with family to enjoy some adventures together.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Bass Pro Mills Drive in Concord.
