Northern Ont. police seek public assistance in motorized bike theft investigations
Officers with the Temiskaming detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a pair of recent property thefts in the region and seeking the public’s help.

Earlier this month, a silver and orange 1975 Honda motorcycle with an after-market back rack was taken from a property on Quarry Road in Haileybury, Ont., according to an OPP social media post.
Police said the motorcycle was taken sometime between July 21 and July 27.

“Temiskaming OPP are (also) seeking the public's assistance in locating a stolen dirt bike, taken from a property on Station Street in North Cobalt,” police wrote in a subsequent social media post.
A 2023 blue Yamaha TT-R230 dirt bike was taken sometime between the evening hours of July 27 and the morning of July 28.
Anyone with information related to either incident or the location of the stolen property is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

The reference number for the case involving the motorcycle in Haileybury is E240981160 and for the missing dirt bike in North Colbalt it is E240986792.
