Anyone who bought premium or diesel fuel on Shawanaga First Nation earlier this month may be having some car troubles.

A post on the First Nation’s Facebook page said the wrong fuel was dispensed from pumps at Shawanaga First Nation Gas & Variety from June 8 at 6:30 p.m. until the problem was discovered June 12 just before 2 p.m.

“We have had our pumps tested accordingly and it turns out that premium pumps were, in fact, filled with diesel and our diesel pumps were filled with premium fuel,” the post said.

Anyone who bought full between June 8 and June 12 and is now having trouble with their vehicle is asked to call 705-366-2526.

“We wanted to thank you once again for your time and patience as we investigated this matter and offer our sincerest apologies for any and all inconvenience which may have arisen as a result,” the post concluded.
