A 28-year-old from North Bay has been charged with weapons and other offences following a disturbance at a hotel in Parry Sound on Dec. 29.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the hotel, but the suspect fled on foot once police arrived.

They were "arrested shortly after," police said in a news release Friday.

Charges include possessing a loaded firearm, possession of ammunition and break-in instruments.

The accused was held for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound and is scheduled to appear on Jan. 6.
