At about 5 p.m. on March 22, the NBPS responded to a call concerning a stolen vehicle with firearms inside on Main Street East.

“The vehicle and one firearm were recovered on March 24,” said police in a news release Tuesday.

“While the second firearm, a Browning BLR Lever-action 30.06, was recovered by police in the early morning hours of March 26.”

A 49-year-old local woman was arrested in connection to the incident and is facing nine charges.

The accused remains in custody pending a bailing hearing scheduled for March 27.

None of the allegations has been proven in court.
