North Bay police looking for suspect in stabbing near city hall
Police in North Bay are searching for a suspect wanted in a stabbing that left a man with wounds on his face and head in the parking lot of city hall.
Officers were called to the scene at 200 McIntyre Street East around 4 p.m. Dec. 29 where they found the victim with lacerations, North Bay Police Service said in a news release Friday morning.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is underway and the suspect is described as "a male of medium to heavier build, with a salt and pepper goatee, wearing a black toque, camo winter coat, blue jeans, tan Timberland-like boots, and a carrying a backpack with large colourful lettering written 'Gymshark' vertically on the backpack."

"At this point we believe that the suspect and the victim do not know each other," Const. Merv Shantz told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in an email.
