NORTH BAY -- Police in North Bay are calling on the public for help after an early morning hit and run involving a pedestrian.

The incident occurred at the intersection of McIntyre and Wyld around 1 a.m.

According to officers, a pedestrian was crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle turning left from McIntyre onto Wyld.

Police say the driver stopped momentarily and uttered something to the victim before leaving the scene, travelling west on McIntyre Street East.

The adult male victim sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

Police are now looking for an older model, dark mid-sized car.

The driver is described as a man in his late 40s or early 50s with grey hair.
