SUDBURY -- A man is in hospital in North Bay with non-life threatening injuries following an assault with an edged weapon, police said in a release Monday afternoon.

The attack happened shortly after 2 a.m. July 20 in the 200 block of First Avenue West in North Bay.

An adult man sustained injuries requiring medical attention and remains at the hospital.

Police say the attack was from an "unknown assailant."

No details about the suspect have been released.
