North Bay police arrest two, seize suspected cocaine, methadone from Main Street home
A North Bay man, 41, and woman, 52, are facing multiple charges – including drug trafficking – following a search of a home on Main Street as part of an ongoing investigation.
On July 24, members of the North Bay Police Service (NBPS) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Main Street East.
“The two accused were located within the residence and arrested,” said North Bay police in a news release.
“Searches by police resulted in the seizure of approximately 2 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 600 mL of suspected methadone (and) an edged ‘throwing star-style’ weapon.”
Police estimated the street value of the drugs seized at just under $500.
As a result of the investigation, the male suspect is facing two drug trafficking charges along with charges for unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of property or proceeds of property obtained by crime and multiple counts of failing to comply with probation orders. The female suspect was charged with two counts of drug possession.
Both accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.
None of the accusations has been proven in court.
