North Bay police arrest three men after armed robbery
Three men in their 30s from the North Bay area are facing charges connected to an armed robbery involving a sawed-off shotgun on Tuesday, police say.
A 31-year-old man from Callander is accused of threatening someone he knew at gunpoint for money while at their home on Main Street East, North Bay Police Service said in a news release.
The accused left after being given cash from a witness at the home saying he would return and was later arrested at another residence on the same street, where the gun was found, police added.
While not present at the robbery, police said, the owner of the gun has been charged along with another man who was hiding it from police when officers arrived.
Investigators are looking for a fourth suspect who allegedly accompanied the man accused of robbery during the incident, but was not in the room when the death threat was made and fled before police arrived.
Two of the suspects are being held in custody while the gun owner has been released.
A total of 20 charges have been laid between the three accused. None of the allegations has been proven in court.
