SUDBURY -- Three new COVID-19 cases were reported by the North Bay Parry Sound Health Unit on Wednesday.

"One individual in the Nipissing district, and two in the Parry Sound district," the health unit tweeted.

Two of the positive tests were in people under the age of 19, while one was between the ages of 20-39. The source of the infections is unknown. All three are self-isolating.

There have now been 54 cases in the health unit's coverage area since the pandemic began.

Residents are being urged to continue to follow public health protocols by physical distancing, wearing a face covering in indoor public places, including public transit and anywhere physical distancing is a challenge, wash or sanitize your hands often, cough and sneeze into your sleeve and stay home when you feel sick or have symptoms and arrange to be tested.
