An investigation into a dispute in North Bay this week led to three sexual assault charges against a 62-year-old man.

North Bay Police Service patrol officers responded Thursday to the complaint at around 10 p.m.

“Upon arrival, officers obtained information relating to three separate incidents which had taken place between Jan. 1, 2024, and Feb. 17, 2024,” police said in a news release Friday.

“During these incidents, an adult female was touched inappropriately by the accused. As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested for sexual assault, and transported to North Bay Police Service headquarters.”

The victim and the accused were know to each other, but police said it was not a case of intimate partner violence. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
