SUDBURY – During the afternoon of October 7 in North Bay, police responded to a call indicating a man had pointed a firearm at a pedestrian.

It is alleged that the accused was driving his white Honda Civic and almost crashed into a male victim who was walking in the area of Fisher Street at Oak Street.

The accused began to swear at the victim and then pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him.

The accused then fled in his car as the victim called the police.

Police located the accused and seized the following from his vehicle:

  • a loaded 12 gauge flare gun
  • a black metal bb pistol
  • 40 live rounds of .22 gauge rounds
  • a quantity of suspected methamphetamine pills
  • a scale and numerous empty baggies

Police say they have charged the 25-year-old accused with the following:

  • One count of Possession of firearm knowing that possession unauthorized
  • Two counts of Possession of Weapons Dangerous
  • One count of Possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)

The accused is expected to appear in the North Bay Courthouse on October 22.
