NORTH BAY -- North Bay Police have arrested two people from the Greater Toronto area after they seized cocaine and fentanyl.

Police say the street crime unit launched an investigation in mid-December, which led to officers raiding a local home in the 500 block of Commercial Street.

Over $10,000 in cash and drugs were seized during the raid on Dec. 18. The drugs include 7.2 grams of suspected purple fentanyl and 23.2 grams of suspected cocaine.

As a result, a 21-year old man and 24-year old man, both from Etobicoke, face drug trafficking charges.

Both men remain in police custody pending bail hearings at the North Bay Courthouse.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
