SUDBURY -- A 50-year-old man from Noelville is facing several charges after being accused of harassing someone for several weeks, uttering death threats and violating his probation.

The Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police say they responded to a call on Wednesday in the French River.

"Investigation revealed, in the last few weeks, the accused has threatened and harassed the victim," the OPP said in a news release Friday.

The man was arrested Thursday morning at a residence on St. David Street North in Noelville.

He is charged with uttering death threats, threatening to damage property, criminal harassment and failing to comply with his probation order.

He was being held in custody ahead of his bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice today in Greater Sudbury.
