SUDBURY -- Public Health Sudbury and Districts reported a new positive case of COVID-19 Monday afternoon and say the individual was exposed through close contact with a known case.

The individual was tested on Oct. 24 and is now self-isolating.

In the Oct. 26 Public Service Announcement, health officials also said they are now revising the exposure categories "to better align with categories reported provincially."

"Previous cases classified as ‘Contact of a travel-related case’ and ‘Contact of a case with unknown exposure’ are being reclassified as ‘Close contact of a confirmed case.'"

This comes after health officials in Sudbury declared an outbreak at Lo-Elllen Park Secondary School earlier today.

Close contacts identified through contact tracing will be notified directly by Public Health.

Updates about COVID-19 testing, confirmed cases and outbreaks in Greater Sudbury, the District of Sudbury, and the District of Manitoulin are posted online.
