SUDBURY -- A new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed positive in Greater Sudbury, bringing the number of active cases up to four.

Not much is known about the newest case as many Ontario public health agencies have discontinued sharing details about the ages and genders of each new case of the disease.

However, officials said the exposure is travel-related and the person is self-isolating after being tested on Saturday.

This marks the 105th case in the Sudbury and Manitoulin Districts.

Public health will notify all close contacts directly and if you do not receive a call, you are not considered a close contact.

Anyone planning to travel should be aware that COVID-19 is still circulating at different levels around the province. The safest options are to stay in the area of your home community or to stay in the region.

For anyone who has recently travelled, visit the Public Health Agency of Canada website for updates on COVID-19 exposures.

If you think you have travelled somewhere (within or outside of Ontario) where you may have been exposed to COVID-19, call 705.522.9200 (toll-free 1.866.522.9200).

Anyone who has travelled outside of Canada is directed to self-isolate for 14 days from their arrival in Canada.

Correction:

The number of active cases is four, not three as initially published Monday morning. A total of 101 cases have been resolved, including the two deaths, in the Sudbury and Manitoulin Districts out of a total of 105 cases confirmed positive.
