Suspect arrested after victim stabbed in face in Montreal-area parking lot

Longueuil police (SPAL) are searching for a suspect after a victim was stabbed in the face in a parking lot on Jan. 11, 2025.

Police on Montreal’s South Shore say tips from the public helped investigators arrest a man accused of stabbing a person in the face in a grocery store parking lot.

The incident happened on Jan. 11 at around 1 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the store on Lapinière Boulevard in Brossard.

The suspect fled on foot after the alleged attack.

“The suspect did not utter a word,” the Longueuil police service (SPAL) said.

The SPAL said tactical officers arrested a suspect Friday just before 11 a.m. on Beauchemin Street.

According to a news release, Mickey Clerveaux, 28, will be questioned by investigators and could face charges, including assault with a weapon.
