SUDBURY -- Sudbury police are working with the Ontario Fire Marshal to investigate the shed fire that happened Monday night behind a local restaurant.

Police received a call from fire services around 9:15 p.m. Aug. 10 about a structure fire at an establishment on Regent Street.

Di Gusto's woodshed caught fire and fire crews were able to put the blaze out quickly to prevent it from spreading to other nearby businesses.

"Firefighters extinguished the shed fire and determined it to be suspicious," said Kaitlyn Dunn, corporate communications coordinator for Greater Sudbury Police Service.

There were no injuries in the incident, which caused an estimated $2,000 damage.

Dunn said the cause of the fire will be determined by the Ontario Fire Marshal.

The restaurant, which features wood-fired pizza, says it will remain open for business as usual.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
