SUDBURY -- A 58-year-old Toronto man is the victim Sunday's fatal crash between two vessels on Lake Muskoka, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a news release Tuesday.

Officers from the Bracebridge detachment were called to the scene involving a collision between a personal watercraft and sculling boat just before noon July 5 near the Seven Sisters Islands, west of Bracebridge.

There were two people on the personal watercraft at the time of the crash. The extent of their injuries is not known, but at least one person was taken from the scene to the hospital.

The victim's body was found by the underwater search and recovery unit that evening.

Police are not able to say what caused the crash while the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video surveillance footage from that area of the lake is asked to call the OPP (888) 310-1122 or submit anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You will not have to testify in court and information could lead to a reward of up to $2,000.
