Veteran Northern Ontario NDP MPP, Gilles Bisson,  had some decisions to make about running for re-election this June.

The question wasn’t if, but where.

His current riding of Timmins-James Bay spans a large geographical region and was split last fall by the province into two separate ridings.

Timmins and surrounding area and the other, called Mushkegowuk, encompasses the rest of the northern region, up to an including the James Bay coast.

Bisson announced Thursday he will run in the new Timmins riding.  He was first elected to the legislature in 1990.
