Congratulations once again to Sudbury’s Brendon Matusch.

You may recall, we profiled Matusch and his invention, a self-driving go-cart, back in May, when he won the top prize at the national science fair.

As part of his prize from that competition, he won a trip to compete at the European Union Contest for Young Scientists.

This week, he travelled to Ireland with his project where the grade 11 Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School student once again captured one of three first place titles.  He takes home a €7,000 prize for his effort, over $10,000 in Canadian.

Another young man from Canada, Nicolas Fedrigo, also won a first place title for his project Redesigning the Pedicle Probe to Prevent Vertebral Breaches.
