The province is investing over $180-million to replace nine aging Ontario Provincial Police detachment buildings.
They include detachments in Moosonee, West Parry Sound and on Manitoulin Island.
OPP commissioner Vince Hawkes says the project will ensure the force continues to provide modern and efficient policing services to local communities.
Construction is scheduled to get underway this fall.
