Police in North Bay say a man has died after being tasered during an arrest Thursday morning and now the province's Special Investigations Unit will be investigating.
Officers say they got the call at 5 a.m. to deal with a domestic dispute at a local residence and as they were arresting a man, they used a taser.
An ambulance was called as the man went into medical distress.
They say he was pronounced dead later at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
The SIU automatically gets involved whenever there is an injury or a death in the presence of police.
