Heavy police presence on Manitoulin Island Sunday afternoon

There was a heavy police presence at Corbiere Road on M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island on Sunday afternoon.
Multiple sources tell CTV News that the roadway was blocked off by police.
“There is a heavy police presence at Corbiere Road,” Ogimaa Kwe (Chief) Linda Debassige said in a Facebook post just before 3:45 p.m.
“We are asking members of our community to stay away from this area as the investigation continues.”
According to the post, UCCM Anishinaabe Police is conducting an investigation and in contact with First Nation officials.
A spokesperson for UCCM told CTV News a call came in at 11:30 a.m. and was resolved at midnight.
Few details about the matter have been provided by police who said one person has been apprehended, but no charges have been laid.
