Heavy fog advisory issued for Greater Sudbury

Share

Environment Canada issued a fog advisory for Greater Sudbury on Friday.

“Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring over some areas,” the advisory said.

“Areas of dense fog may persist into the early afternoon, particularly for locations over higher terrain.”

Driving could be hazardous because temperatures are near or below the freezing mark, meaning untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery.

“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations,” the advisory said.

“If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”

To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca.
